Base versions of the 2017 Ford Focus are equipped with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes an impressive 160 horsepower which is mated to five-speed manual transmission. Houston Ford customers can also opt for a six-speed automatic gear-changer on the hatchback version of the Focus as well as most of the higher trim grades.  

For the sake of comparison, the 2017 Sentra uses a smaller four-cylinder engine attached to a six-speed manual transmission.
