June 21, 2001 An open letter to Mr. Dick Houston and the staff of Houston Ford. My name is Brian Budinski and I live in Edmonton Alberta (Canada) and I'm writing this letter in appreciation for what Mr. Houston and his staff have done for me, in regards to myh recent purchase of a 2011 Ford Explorer from this dealership. I was in the process of looking to purchase a new vehicle for my wife and was not really able to make a deal in Edmonton, on the type of vehicle that would suit our life style (either a SUV or Crossover). I spoke with my brother in law, who has dealt with Houston Ford on a previous purchase, and he suggested contacting Mr. Houston. I decided it was worth a call and with in a few weeks had decided on a special order 2011 Ford Explorer. Mr. Houston and his staff were very accommodating, extremely easy to deal with and went out of their way to assist me in the options I was looking for, as well as explaining in detail, pricing and the extended warranty options available through Ford. As this is the first time I have purchased a vehicle outside of Canada, the staff at Houston Ford advised me what documents would be required to cross the border with my new vehicle, as well as faxing the documents to customs, arranging temporary travel permit for travel through the States and arranging a ride for me from the airport. My only regret is that living in Canada, that I will not have the opportunity to have Houston Ford service this vehicle for me, as I am quite sure that their service department is as well run, professional and courteous as the Houston Ford front sales staff are. In closing, I would again like to thank everyone at Houston Ford who made this transaction so seamless and pleasant, as well as recommend to any one who may be looking to purchase a vehicle, to do yourself a favor, and make sure you give the staff at Houston Ford the opportunity to see what they can do for you.
